ROLE SUMMARY:

A Quantity Surveyor keeps track of the finance involved in construction projects. As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor for Peveril Decorators your main role will be to assist the Managing Surveyor and Quantity Surveyors on their projects.  Whilst working for us we will sponsor you to complete an Undergraduate Degree, studying part time at one of the best local universities on a day release basis. You will be based at our Offices in Derby with site visits under the guidance of more senior colleagues who will be on hand to offer help and advice on a daily basis.  In addition you will receive a competitive salary which will be reviewed twice a year, whilst you are training.

QUALIFICATIONS / PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Successful applicants will be expected to achieve a minimum of 112 UCAS points at A' Level or within an equivalent construction qualification.  (UCAS point requirements are in line with local universities and dependent on which course you wish to undertake.  Any A' Level subjects are acceptable but desirable subjects would be Maths, Science and a Humanity.  You must have Maths and English GCSE at grade C or above.  No previous experience is required, however applicants should have the desire to work in the Construction Industry combined with an eagerness to progress and an enthusiasm to learn.  Following the completion of your degree there are many potential opportunities within the Bowmer & Kirkland Group Companies.  Full UK Driving Licence is preferable but not essential.
